JanuaryWe met in January. The trees were nothing but tangled black shadows against the shining moon. It was New Years. Tiny rippled pieces of the moon swam across the lake and reflected back into our eyes. Isn't this beautiful? I wondered out loud. And I remember. I really am nice. No matter what you have heard. I know I am, because I have gone out of my way to be nice. But what's the point if your nice and you get nothing in return? It's not just that I get nothing, I don't mind that. Sometimes I feel like I give and give and just get shot down in return.
